My Artistic Journey
The lines are my freedom. The imprint of a random gesture on a piece of paper or cardboard embraces the geographical map of my world, my most immediate psychic imprint that transfigures memories, habits, games, into a graphic investigation at the service of an unrepeatable truth.
It is from that primary trace that each expression leaves on paper that does not allow me to return or rectify a certain gesture. To return is to place the mind on the hand. A hand that processes a living document, narrating its identity by interweaving volumes, forces of an unreflective and automaton whole. The inclusion of body details such as arms, legs or heads, is relegated to certain more specific edges and places them in a more choral and democratic whole.
While the black ink of ballpoint pens allows a more immediate and spontaneous connection to be made, the pieces of pastel bars also offer another convulsion of colored lines expanded on the support and merging with the framework of another network of internal and external strokes.
